Transcriptions
of Memorial Stones in the grounds of The
transcriptions were supplied to Susan Wann by the Public Record Office
of Northern Ireland in 1976. The transcriptions are part of a letter
to Mr Tennyson Groves, Record Agent, dated 1929. The letter is written
by Mr William H Phayre concerning the relationship between the Wann,
Dempsey and Phayre families. Sacred to the Memory of John Wann universally esteemed and deeply
lamented. He died on 26 May1818 in the 64th year
of his age amid the regrets of all who knew him. Also his
daughter Margaret
died 7 Nov 1815 aged 3 months

who died 10 Aug 1860 aged 80 years deeply and deservedly lamented by an
attached family. Also Elizabeth Jane the beloved child
of William Wann who died

think this should be ‘Washington’ (S Wann ) Inscription
is on white marble tablet with grey marble surround in Parish Church
of Mullabrack in Sacred to the memory of Margaret the
beloved wife of William Wann
J.P. of For more than 40 years a devoted and
affectionate wife and mother. She departed this life the 2nd
March 1877 aged 67 years amid the heartfelt sorrow of her bereaved
husband and family. This tablet is erected by him as a
tribute to the numerous virtues which adorned her character. Thess
IV.13.14. Also in memory of her husband William
Wann J.P. Who followed her to his rest 15 April
1880 aged 67 years leaving a sorrowing family and numerous friends
to mourn his loss. Blessed are the dead which die in the
Lord.
